Since the First Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the church building on February 1, 1981, All Saints Byzantine Catholic Church has called North Fort Myers, Florida, home. Our Family will continue to proclaim and live out the Truth of Jesus Christ until the Second Coming.

our story …

We began as a mission of St. Therese Byzantine Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. A priest would minister to the people of the mission who began meeting in Port Charlotte, Florida. The timeline is a reflection of the movement of the Holy Spirit within All Saints Byzantine Catholic Church and how it has evolved from its beginnings to the present day.

  • October 1, 1978: First Divine Liturgy Celebrated at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, Florida.

  • April, 1979: First Holy Week Services were celebrated

  • November 11, 1979: Byzantine Mission relocates to St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Fort Myers, Florida and work begins to locate a property for the future parish.

  • October, 1980: Construction begins on the church building on the newly purchased property.

  • December 1, 1980: The Decree of Conical Erection is received and it names the new parish, All Saints Byzantine Catholic Church.

  • February 1, 1981: The First Divine Liturgy is celebrated in the new church building.

  • January 17, 1982: The Dedication and Blessing of the new church building of All Saints Byzantine Catholic Church by Most Reverend Michael J. Dudick D.D.
